A picture tells a thousand words right? I'm going to be taking a trip down memory lane, easily done by going through photo archives, to some of my past travels. I will tell the story with some of my favourite photos as a guide. I hope you enjoy!
This is the second part of my New Zealand Trip in Pictures posts. If you haven't seen the first on the North Island then check it out first here. The South Island was essentially just lots of lakes, which suits me down to the ground! Certainly our first stop lived up to this... Lake Rotoiti, pictured first in the Instagram pictures below.

One of the highlights of the South Island was of course the iconic Milford Sound. Even the drive down to the bay where you set off was spectacular. These pictures were taken at a brook/stream that was so clean that you can drink straight from it... which is exactly what we did!

Next up... Queenstown! What a damn place. Hard to describe/explain but it's a cool and special place. One day we climbed Queenstown Hills for beautiful views.
The last lake we visited on the trip was Lake Ohau, and it was bloody freezing but also bloody pretty! These pictures were taken at sunrise.
And thus concluded my time in New Zealand (and on my gap year trips)! There's plenty of spots that I've missed in this post because they're represented below from my Instagram. In order: Lake Rotoiti, Lake Matheson, Lake Minnewanka (told you there were lots of lakes), somewhere on the west coast?, Milford Sound, Queenstown Hill, Moeraki Boulders, Lake Ohau and Christchurch.
If for some reason you need more pictures, check out my Insta'd pics from the trip below!
